THE CONSTRUCTION

Grooved metal.
Soft-faced sealing.

A Kammprofile gasket combines a solid metal core with concentric serrations and a soft facing on each sealing surface. The core provides support; the facing conforms to the flange surface.

Graphite and PTFE are common facing options. Select the core, facing and locating arrangement together for the fluid, flange and operating duty.

Three arrangements. One profile option.

PN, ZG and ZA describe locating arrangements. Convex is a core-profile variation, rather than a separate gasket family. Confirm style codes and dimensions against the agreed drawing.

01 / Without locating ring

PN Kammprofile Gaskets

A serrated sealing core without an outer locating ring. Intended for joints that locate the gasket, such as suitable recessed or tongue-and-groove arrangements.

02 / Integral locating ring

ZG Kammprofile Gaskets

The sealing core and outer locating ring form an integral construction. The ring positions the gasket within the flange bolt circle.

03 / Loose locating ring

ZA Kammprofile Gaskets

A separate, loose-fitting outer ring locates the sealing core. This arrangement allows relative radial movement where differential thermal expansion is a concern.

04 / Core-profile variation

Convex Kammprofile Gaskets

A convex sealing profile varies the grooved-core geometry across its width. It can be combined with different locating arrangements; confirm the exact section from the drawing.
